2nd in the Christmas Tree Festival!🎄 Well done to the School Council representatives for decorating the tree, Mr Pauly for organising the visit & to all the learners who made decorations. A great example of the whole school coming together for the local community! 🐝🎄✨

Our topic this term has been ‘Celebrations’! EYFS had a brilliant time walking to the shops to buy ingredients for the birthday party of our class bears! The children made birthday cakes and had a party on Friday to celebrate 🧸🐝

Wonderful to welcome Acorn Brass back this morning! Learners joined in with several of the songs, too! We even met the lovely Jackie - an ex-pupil whose mum worked in the school kitchen in the 70s! Her daughter is training to teach with us Chiltern Training Group (CTG) too! Small world 🐝

A super final staff CPD session to round off 2024 tonight! Thank you to the brilliant Miss Morriss for talking to us about everything EYFS. It was great to see staff exploring the provision and learning more about the ‘engine’ of our curriculum train 🐝

In one of Dante’s circles of hell is an endless Y1 computing class of 30 where everyone is trying to log on.

Tonight was our 6th and final super maths parent workshop for Year 6! Koron Cooper has done a brilliant job leading these new sessions and I know so many have benefited from attending 🐝

We all thoroughly enjoyed Mrs Carter’s assembly this week based on the joy of story telling 📖 The entire school were engrossed with terrific tales from The Twits to Rosie’s Hat all read by some of our wonderful staff! 🐝

Miss Witt and Miss Drury had a brilliant day today attending the Music & Drama Education Expo in London! I’ve had lots of messages from them about how we can improve our performing arts curriculum for our learners. I can’t wait to hear more about it! Watch this space… 🎭🎼🐝

If there is no intervention, a system that was on its knees through a recruitment and retention crisis, will embark on a mass redundancy programme and fall flat on its face. Schools must be more efficient, however this will hit poor schools hardest. No teachers = No improvement.
