JUST IN: Lakeville teachers have overwhelmingly approved a strike amid stalled contract negotiations — with 99% of the ballots cast in favor. “We’ve waited long enough.”

A late night on the #mnleg House floor but it was worth it to pass the Minnesota Voting Rights Act and a great omnibus elections bill that ends prison gerrymandering, expands early voting to voters on campus, and requires the disclosure of spending on dark money political ads.

Climate change has disproportionately impacted the people least responsible for the problem, namely low-income communities and communities of color.   By investing new funding in clean energy jobs for underserved communities, we’re taking a small step toward climate justice.

I remember sitting in the chemo infusion chair watching this happen as I was battling stage 2 Hodgkin’s lymphoma. This is why we have to keep fighting, no one’s healthcare access should ever be jeopardized but that’s exactly what Trump has tried to do/will do again if elected.
