This week I’ve done some filming with the BBC for a Panorama special about how #covid19UK is affecting the most vulnerable. It’ll hopefully raise some awareness of what is happening to #Cancer patients. Monday night 19.30 BBC1

Calls to UK Domestic Abuse Helplines have more than doubled since the lockdown. Victims should know that if they are in danger, they can dial 999, then press 55 and remain silent. Police will know that the caller is in danger and cannot speak. Spread this wide.

I've been corrected by an expert: dial 999, and wait until you're prompted by the operator before you press 55. I'm sorry for the mistake. If it's any comfort, the only time I've ever witnessed a situation like this, the police response was exemplary. #YouAreNotAlone

I wonder if some careful planning is needed when we start reducing lockdown, that before kids are sent back to school (increasing contact with more people) there is a grandparents day. When they can see close loved ones.

The irony of having a national clap for the NHS less than 24 hours after scenes like this is not lost on us. So as well as clapping today, please RT and remind your friends and family that this is nowhere near over and we still need your help. #ClapForTheNHS

Delays to #cancer diagnosis and treatment due to #coronavirus could lead to thousands of excess deaths in the UK within a year, according to new research. Watch @BowelBabe's investigation on BBC Panorama: Britain’s Cancer Crisis is on BBC One at 7.30pm.

BBC Panorama Deborah James BBC One I too had my chemo stopped due to Covid. Since restarting things have not gone well. The fact that private patients and some NHS were able to continue with Chemo clearly shows a gamble was made on some stage IV patients. #BBCPanorama
