Laurel shrugged, leaning forward as well. “Most vampires out in LA are s lot more:.. energetic. Outgoing. It might be an LA thing. But usually they’re pretty happy unless…” She trailed off. “How long as it been since you last… you know… fed.”

“Wow. So much for the high life you were working for.” Laurel joked before grinning.

“Which is why you’re slumming it up in a club with a DJ who’s irrationally obsessed with the nineties boy bands.” She raised her glass. “To getting back on our feet. And to *NSYNC. I actually like this song.”
