Andrew Tangen of the Veterans Assistance Commission of Lake County provided expert testimony on the gaps in veteran health services during joint subcommittee hearing in Chicago Tuesday.

The VA announced it is piloting a comprehensive military exposure model to consider possible relationships of in-service environmental hazards to medical conditions. The goal of this will lower burden of proof for vets impacted by exposures and speed up health care and benefits.
