Uyghur ethnographer Professor Rahile Dawut is awarded an honorary doctorate by SOAS University of London "in recognition of her outstanding contribution to the scholarship of Uyghur cultural heritage." Rahile was unjustly detained in 2017 and is serving a life sentence. soas.ac.uk/about/news/soa…
