Phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) are essential for turfgrass growth and development.

Even without fertilization, P and K levels are sufficient in many native soils.

A foundational low-input management practice: apply fertilizer only to elicit a plant response.

Thanks to everyone who offered a guess. The only difference here is cultivar.....Tahoma 31 (left) vs Latitude 36 (right). Soil is identical and all management practices (HOC, nutrients, irrigation, etc) are the same. Photo was taken on 10/25/23.

Receiving questions about delaying Specticle/PRE3 apps on drought stressed bermudagrass across TN. This is a smart approach. Plenty of time to use a herbicide mixture for control when both PRE & POST actives are included. TGCSA Tennessee Turfgrass TN Valley Sports Field Management Association UT Extension
