The Trails at Jakes Rocks trail system was officially dedicated today as the Pennsylvania Trail of the Year! The dedication ceremony was held in the Bradoford Ranger District of the Allegheny National Forest
The Flight 93 NMEM contains about 2,200 acres of forests and fields. To maintain the solemnity of the area, administrators have asked the USDA Forest Service to assess and update the health of the "Witness Grove." The first evaluation of the site was completed 12 years ago.

USFS Eastern Region Urban Connections connected with students from the greater Milwaukee area during a Canoemobile event with #WildernessINQ at Lakeshore State Park. Here students learned about the watercycle before getting a chance to canoe on an inlet in Lake Michigan.
