I joined my Scottish Labour MSP colleague Davy Russell MSP to show our support for UsdawUnion’s Freedom From Fear campaign. The campaign seeks to prevent violence, threats and abuse against workers. We must support shop workers and community policing teams to improve safety.

Fantastic Pride stall held at our Tesco Kilbirnie store this week. Throughout June, we all have an important opportunity to show solidarity, allyship, and Pride in our union, celebrate LGBT+ history, and shine a spotlight on the issues faced by our LGBT members 💜

Academy One rep Irene Penman joined Shop Steward Julia Oliver to run a menopause campaign in Tesco Cardenden Express. The menopause can be a lonely and confusing time, but campaigns like these help us identify what more employers can do to support women at work.

A brilliant stall by our dedicated rep team at Tesco Depot today, for both Membership Week and Pride month. Membership Week promises to be an exciting week as we’ll be speaking to workers across the country about how being an Usdaw member can improve their working lives.

Huge thanks to the members of our young workers committee that attended the STUC Youth Conference this past weekend. Young people are the future of our movement and it’s so encouraging to see such committed activists getting involved!

Proud to support UsdawUnion’s Freedom from Fear campaign - tackling violence and abuse against shopworkers. Retail crime impacts us all and for workers it can’t be just “part of the job”. Pleased The Labour Party is taking action via the Crime and Policing Bill to protect workers.
