Indigenous women & girls should be able to live free from violence. States must do more to protect them, and meaningfully consult with Indigenous Peoples on the development of guidance, policies, and practices to prevent and respond to #GBV in their communities.

At today’s virtual JAPER meeting, I urged U.S. & Brazilian civil society & government officials to continue the important work of eliminating racial disparities in both countries -not only as an obligation, but as a shared calling to ensure dignity, equality, & justice for all.
