CONFIRMED self-employed limited company directors CAN be furloughed as employees on their PAYE element, even if theyre sole employee. Technically they can't then work for the firm, but can continue to perform their statutory obligations as directors eg official legal filings etc

This is remarkable, and will keep many small businesses afloat during the next few months. You can apply for your grant directly on the Rutland County Council website using a very simple form if you’re in receipt of small business rate relief or rural rate relief.
