It shouldn’t have been controversial. It shouldn’t have taken 20 years or till 230 am. But it IS done and we have driver’s licenses for all.

Tonight, I was honored to vote yes on two historic bills. Restore the Vote, and Drivers Licenses for all—both to ensure that ALL Minnesotans are afforded their basic rights and dignity, regardless of their background or status.

Undocumented Minnesotans have been asking us to pass Driver’s Licenses for All for 20 years. There have been hunger strikes, people have slept outside the Senate chamber, and others have camped on the Capitol lawn. All for this moment. WE DID IT! #SíSePudo
