Oh my goodness!

Arrived in Lincoln, NE this morning around 6:30 AM. No hotels available from Scottsbluff to Grand Island.. oh well, only two-ish hours away from our target now for today! A few hours of sleep and then we hit the road! #UMChase23

Currently positioned south of Des Moines, IA. Tricky decision is to either go north and play the developing line of storms and hope one remains isolated, or dive southeast to the ongoing convection that’s been struggling, but in the better environment.. #UMChase23

Iowa didn’t pan out as expected today. Oh well.. That’s just the reality of storm chasing! Last night before we head home tomorrow. Spending the night in Ames, IA (we found a hotel, yay!) + heading for dinner to celebrate our tornadoes from yesterday! #UMChase23

We made it home! 7 states, 7 tornadoes, and 6117 km total. Oh, and we all got sick unfortunately.. but what a trip! Until the next one! #UMChase23

Technically 8, but we won’t count the one south of Limon, Colorado on Thursday as it was hard to make out through the binoculars.

A few of us went out and chased severe storms across Saskatchewan yesterday. We didn’t catch the first tornado producing storm near the US border, but caught the tornado just east of Regina later that afternoon! #SKStorm
