When I first discovered classical music and I heard works by eg Vivaldi & Pachelbel, I thought the only thing they wrote was 4 Seasons & Canon or that these were the only pieces deemed worth hearing by the people who played them on the radio. This is not good ! #classicalmusic

A very odd composer. First got to know him about a year ago: Music for solo flute, 7 Stars Symphony. That odd Germanic French not-quite Impressionist style. Very good friends with Fauré and you can tell. Beautiful songs.
