T 1/4 On 5th June, Ihsan Khaliq, a 25-year old male from Sadiqabad, was murdered in cold blood. He was beaten with rods by a group of men until he was unconscious, and then his body was thrown in the canal, which was to be later found by his relatives. #justice_for_Ihsankhaliq

T 2/4 Another dead body of a female was also found in the canal, and this was termed as an honour killing case. Ihsan came from a poor family. His father was a farmer, and both of his parents passed away while he was young. #justice_for_Ihsankhaliq

T 3/4 He came to Lahore to study for a better future and used to live with his aunt. He had many dreams, was ambitious and hoped to do better in life. All of this was taken away from him when he was killed for a crime he never committed. #justice_for_Ihsankhaliq

T 4/4 Imagine the pain he went through in the last moments of his life when he was being beaten ruthlessly. The main crime of Ihsan was not violating someone’s honour; it was being born poor. #justice_for_Ihsankhaliq
