Solid Airdyne workout -Airdyne AD7: 2 hours -1400 calories -Still a little fatigued from last nights hill repeats. Shook it off for the most part, but the last 30 mins was tough.

2nd workout -Planks: 1:40 x5 sets -Side planks: 1:40 x5 sets with twist -Abs: 500 reps This was not an energy day for me. Still fatigued & both workouts were a struggle. It happens, not the first time nor the last. Key is fighting through & getting it done! New day tomorrow!

Bad bad bad… -12.50 miles on the Ice Age Trail -1800 ft of gain -Still feel off, not sure why. Weather was perfect but the bugs were awful. -The Ice Age Trail have very few flats, it’s 99% rolling. Most climbs today were a major struggle. Time to rest…

Rebound workout: -Horizontal Pull-ups: 375 reps -Dips: 400 reps -Incline Planks: x5 sets @ 2:15 ea -Calf raise/Side bends, (weighted): x5 sets @ 30 reps ea -Abs: 1000 reps -Shoulders, back, bi's/tri's x3 exercises ea -x5 sets each/15 reps/15 secs rest

Good finish to the day/week: -60 mins on the bike -Decline dumbbell lunges: 5 sets @ 10 reps ea Fatigue was much better today! But I feel like I'm needing a solid rest day. Heading to the beach with my son tomorrow. Time to rest...

Caught a bug from my kids, this was a rough day Rotation workout: -3 exercises per, shoulders, back, bi’s & tris -5 sets each & 10-20 reps -Pushups: 500 reps -Side Planks: 2:00 x5 sets -Abs: 1000 -Deadlifts, (light weight) 12 reps x5 sets -Bike: 1:40 on the stationary

We are officially 20 days from Western States 2024! I was chosen #190 in the lottery and will be doing my best to document the journey.

6 days until western states 2024! Just finished my last training run before I rest and recover. Ended with 101.5 miles for the week and today I got 5100 ft of net gain. Feeling ready to go!

Well, I got it done, WS100 finisher! Here is how it went in a nutshell: -Body responded GREAT! -Developed major blisters at mile 10, (see pic) -Fell twice -Sauna training paid off, heat was not a factor -First 62 were more technical thann I had anticipated -Canyons were brutal
