Israelβs short-notice evacuation orders in Gaza are causing chaos. Palestinians and UN staff have no safe place to turn. We strongly welcome Israelβs agreement to pause military operations so World Health Organization (WHO) can deliver polio vaccines this weekend. Now we need to see this in action.

Delighted to meet Amy Pope Amy Pope today to discuss the UKβs longstanding partnership with IOM - UN Migration πΊπ³ and our shared priorities. I look forward to continuing to work together to tackle the drivers of irregular migration and support people displaced from their homes.
The UK is a key partner for IOM. I had a great meeting with Minister for Development Anneliese Dodds to discuss solutions to some of the largest displacement crises worldwide, including those caused by climate change.
Such exciting news. I have come to know Professor Dapo Akande of University of Oxford through his campaign for and time on the International Law Commission in Geneva and I have seen the high regard in which he is held. He would be a terrific addition to the ICJ.
