What we’re seeing in Gaza is an outrage. People killed looking for the most basic essentials of human life. We are announcing more aid today. But this is nothing like enough. The supplies are there. We know how to get it to people to save lives.

The horror in Gaza must end. We're stepping up our humanitarian efforts with new healthcare, food and water for Gazans. We need an immediate ceasefire now, the release of all hostages and a surge in aid.

We urgently need the blocking of aid into Gaza to stop. As aid agencies are saying today, children are starving and will continue to suffer. This is why the UK is protecting our support to Gaza and the West Bank, including £60m we announced earlier this week.

The IDF has killed starving Palestinian civilians trying to get aid. Settler terrorism and talk of imposing the illegal E1 settlement plan are flagrant attempts to prevent a Palestinian state. There is no justification for this. A two-state solution is the only path to peace.
