We share the sad news of the passing of Russell Meares – co-founder of the Conversational Model with Bob Hobson. He died on 11th June after a series of hospital admissions.   For a brief outline of how big a part Russell played see The Conversational Model: An outline

PIT UK So sad to hear this. He and Bob Hobson were wonderful therapists and mentors to many. I shall never forget reading 'The Persecutory Therapist' as a newly qualified clinical psychologist. It changed me. And his lectures on play -- wonderful!

A sad loss - recall sharing a dinner table with Colwyn Trevarthen at the Liverpool conference in 2014, watching him delight in (& commentate on) the dancing that was taking place before us all #musicality He'll get due acknowledgement at our next infant development teaching day
