.ISOC Uganda Chapter is proud to host #UYIGF2025 on Day 2 of the ongoing #UIGWeek2025! This forum is dedicated to amplifying youth voices in the Internet governance landscape. We're facilitating dialogues that place youth and innovation at the forefront of Uganda's digital development. #IGF


During his opening remarks at the #UYIGF2025, ISOC Uganda Chapter's Vice President, Jesse Nathan Kalange, emphasized the importance of youth engagement. He encouraged them to actively pursue opportunities and lead in developing innovative solutions for local community issues. #UIGF2025 #UIGWeek2025


Innocent Adriko Innocent Adriko, Program Coordinator at Internet Society Foundation, delivered a keynote at today's #UYIGF2025, outlining the Internet Society's core mission. He challenged attendees to contribute by adopting a "think globally, act locally" approach in their societies. #IGF


At the #UYIGF2025 panel on Harnessing Artificial Intelligence for Youth Empowerment and Inclusive Digital Development in Uganda, Katende Jonan Katende Jonan from JusticeBot highlighted Uganda's growing AI landscape, citing different local AI innovations in Uganda.

Still on the #UYIGF2025, Alfred Oryem of ACME Africa conducted an interactive workshop, "Decoding the Digital Storm," focusing on identifying and combating misinformation and hate speech in Uganda's online sphere. He also debunked prevalent myths in the Ugandan media. #IGF
