for HRiP & HA. We expressed hope for strategic cooperation to consolidate existing relations

We gained insights from social movements in #Nigeria , #Senegal , and #Tunisia , leading into reflections on: 1) Global democracy backlash and its effect on rights. 2) Countering anti-rights movements and their influence. 3) The impact of AI and emerging tech on these rights.

We delved into enhancing the meaningful participation of trade unions, social movements and climate justice activists in decision-making. This involved identifying local, regional, and global opportunities to overcome barriers and advance effective participation in policy-making!

Wrapping up the day, we delved into implementing and promoting Law Enforcement Tools for peaceful protests. We brainstormed how the UNSR FoAA, alongside CSOs, could enhance the Model Protocol developed by UN Special Rapporteur Freedom of Association
