There is no question that our organizing in the spring had an impact on avoiding so many layoffs, and we’ll need to bring that same energy into the fall to fight for the contract our students deserve! We will be back with another bargaining update on July 17.

The United Educators of San Francisco and the United Administrators of San Francisco fully support SFUSD Superintendent Dr. Su's decision to maintain Ethnic Studies, ensuring our students and educators experience no disruptions when they return in the Fall.

SFUSD is facing another payroll crisis following its transition from EMPower to the new Frontline payroll system. District leadership must act now so educators and staff can focus on welcoming students back, not worrying about their paychecks.
