State advisor Eliot Duchon has been playing games with our schools--insisting on layoffs when there are vacancies. Educators showed up at the BOE meeting tonight to demand District Management stop with the unnecessary bureaucratic obstacles and fully staff our schools now!

There is no question that our organizing in the spring had an impact on avoiding so many layoffs, and we’ll need to bring that same energy into the fall to fight for the contract our students deserve! We will be back with another bargaining update on July 17.
