The Savannah Savages find themselves in the Class 3 Quarterfinals on Saturday. Savannah won the Class 3 District 8 championship on Monday night and will travel to take on Oak Grove. The winner advances to the Class 3 semifinals.

Lafayette Fighting Irish taking over Des Moines. Former LHS standouts and Northwest basketball players Bryston Williams and Xavier Kurth have officially been named assistant coaches on Ben McCollum's staff at Drake University. Both of them played for McCollum at Northwest.
