STRAC is saddened to hear of the passing of Cpt. Kuhlman from Fredericksburg Fire. Our thoughts are with his family and the entire Fredericksburg Fire/EMS department.

Last night, the #TXEMTF sent more than a dozen ambulances, 2 AMBUSs, 2 Medical Incident Support Team (MIST) members, and a Task Force Leader (TFL). Currently, we have 2 AMBUSs, 4 ambulances, a MIST, & a TFL in Perryton to continue their support of local EMS and hospitals.

The #TXEMTF continues to support wildland firefighting efforts across the state. We currently have wildland fire medical supports teams active in the counties of Barth, Burnet, and Kerr. You can learn more about our wildland fire support component at txemtf.org/components

At the direction of Greg Abbott, the #TXEMTF has deployed to the state of Louisiana to assist with firefighting efforts. This is the Texas Emergency Medical Task Force's first out of state deployment through the Emergency Management Assistance Compact (EMAC).

EMTF-8 has deployed more than 25 agencies in support of the current response.

When first responders become overwhelmed entities call the Texas Emergency Medical Task Force 8 (EMTF 8) to assist, and that was the case with the Hill Country floods. It is a massive undertaking requiring agencies from the entire state of Texas, and other countries, coming together as one.
