I don't particularly like speaking out about this but it needs to be acknowledged to be addressed. And it is essential it is addressed if we want more people to go into politics.

Celebrated Sam Bayley ‘s birthday today with a themed cake made by me. It depicts Sam on a headland watching Chough ☺️ Cake is a veganised version of Nigella Lawson ‘s Chocolate and Guinness cake with a Coffee and Walnut cake on top. Is it wrong to say I’m choughed with it?

My eldest is trans and since he started living as male he's transformed from a suicidal teen into a happy and contented young man. I would rather support a son, than mourn a daughter.

A nice little nocturnal session last night on home ground, with a Long-Eared Owl and two Common Snipe ringed. Getting in gear for the winter ringing season - plus look at that beautiful snipe tail! BTO BirdWatch Ireland #birdringing

A decent gap in bad weather yesterday meant the team could get out and ring another Raven nest in an abandoned towerhouse. The biggest brood of the year so far with 4 chicks. At over 1kg each they are the biggest passerine in the world BTO National Parks and Wildlife Service BirdWatch Ireland EURING

Like the whole British and Irish Obs family, we are sadden and shocked to hear of the sudden passing of our old friend, Steve Wing, the long-time warden of the Cape Clear Bird Obs . A nicer man you would struggle to find and a real ambassador for Obs work. RIP Steve photo Shay Hunston.
