We’re working with BTO to track the migration patterns of Irish Cuckoos. One of them - Cuach KP has just landed home at Killarney National Park - to the spot where he was ringed last year! Here’s our Conservation Ranger Sam Bayley with the update..

Red Kite in the Castleross golf course early this morning & flew east along the lake shore towards the game wood @ Knockreer House KNP, per J Pembroke

Epic sea crossing alert! 🌊 KP has reached Ireland but rather than following a land-based route, he left northern Spain and set off across the Bay of Biscay then continued his flight over the sea. 😮 We’re pleased to say he’s made it! 🙌 National Parks and Wildlife Service

Irish Cuckoo Update - too much for one post, so a thread. After a leading role Torc is lagging a bit behind with most of the UK birds either back home or in France.
