You'd think she'd be accustomed to dirt hills given all the time she spends on the grounds... Oh poor Flora, already oblivious to her own metaphors.

Flora loves her imperfect, little family. . . She's very lucky in that retrospect; even after one family was lost to her forever, this one came to exist its place. And it's perfectly splendid!

Flora's recently grown accustomed to the feeling of guilt. Not the consciousness of knocking over a vase; but it had been settling on her small, weak shoulders for a number of weeks and she's starting to feel sick from the responsibility of locking Miss Clayton in her wardrobe.

Flora's practicing staying up late, well in advance so she can be awake to see Santa Clause! She's sad to report that unfortunately, it isn't going very well. But she still has a month to practice!

She's decided to make breakfast for everyone this morning! Awake early and sneaking to the kitchen before Owen can shoo her out. It's only occurring to her now that she hasn't the foggiest clue on how to make pancakes, and cue the small child getting out the biggest frying pan.

Eveything that she learns with Miss Clayton is technically home-work... And welcome to wide-awake thoughts with Flora.

Waking up from a midday nap is terribly confusing when she can barely recall the morning. Cue a slightly huffy eight-year-old dawdling around the manor, ending up in the kitchen for a snack.
