wrote the 2026 vision for replicas. 2026 is the year of SWE agents. coding work is going to operate less on the terminal and IDE each month, and into the hands of sandboxed, autonomous coding agents. i believe in this above all else, and replicas is the manifestation of this

obviously i would prefer this doesn't happen but it changes nothing. theres a million ways to fix this, including adding support for more agents (which we were gonna do anyway) as people flock to subscriptions that won't rug pull them. or switching the default agent to codex 😉

Actively monitoring this. Claude Code agent usage on Replicas is currently not affected.
