On Monday, our boy choristers sang their last "boys’ voices" service of the year. The anthem was John Davey’s energetic ‘O praise God in his holiness’, which he wrote for the #Truro choristers in the 1960s. It features on a lovely LP of the choir from 1975 under John Winter.

Our anthem at Evensong today is one of the great pieces of the choral repertoire – Finzi’s ‘Lo, the full, final sacrifice’. It contemplates the great mystery of the crucifixion, with some of the most emotional and intense writing in any piece we sing. Do join us at 17:30 🎶
