Great fun returning to my old stomping ground: the FL Capitol! I gave my colleague, flight attendant Nick, a personal tour, reveling him with stories of the corruption I uncovered & the impersonations I conducted. He also met the Capitol’s most powerful occupant: Judy Mount.

“A strange no-eye-contact oddball.” In my experience, this is a spot-on descriptor of Rick Scott, not his successor Ron DeSantis. In personal moments, I’ve found DeSantis to be surprisingly engaging. Mildly aloof? Perhaps, but this piece paints a skewed picture of the man.
