Tonight reminded me of why I came to Southern Seminary in the first place. The church. We celebrated the ten year anniversary of the Mathena Center for Church Revitalization. So many interns, now serving faithfully in quiet places, came back to thank the Lord for those who prepared them.

In recent years I've committed to reading through a large set or volume for the year. It is a blessing and also easier than I once thought. Do I sometimes fall short, yes. But this habit has been so well worth it. 2026 is my PRRD year.
