The Hebrew of Psalm 119 uses an acrostic that separates the verses into 22 sections of 8 verses each, all starting w/the same successive letter of the alphabet. Some brave Dutch, German, Swiss German, and English translators emulated that: tips.translation.bible/story/acrostic… #GordonJackson!
