I am forcing a vote tonight to adjourn the Senate until after the November election.

The GOP in the middle of a national election is using an illegitimate process to jam through a Supreme Court nominee to rip away health care from millions.

Democrats are fighting to stop it.

For more than a year, Trump has been desperate to create a scandal around his opponent.

He even tried to extort a foreign country into smearing Joe Biden, but failed.

Trump was caught and impeached over it.  Now he’s at it again.

Different scheme. Same corrupt president.

We need a president who will expand access to health care — not one who does everything he can to tear it away.

Call me conservative, but I prefer Presidents who don’t have to flee the jurisdiction if they lose a re-election campaign.

I know what I wrote below sounds harsh. But I stand by it and I want to explain why.

1/ From the start of the epidemic, Trump has mostly refused to wear a mask and engage in social distancing. He often does this very publicly and brazenly (like in Oklahoma City).

Videos from a concert held in Southampton on Saturday show egregious social distancing violations. I am appalled.

The Department of Health will conduct an investigation.

We have no tolerance for the illegal & reckless endangerment of public health.

If a hospital worker can wear a mask nonstop during a 10-hour shift.

If women can wear masks during labor.

You can wear a mask while running an errand.

With the passing of John Lewis, America has lost not only a man of history, but a man for our season; O how we need such men of unwavering principle, unassailable character, penetrating purpose, and heartfelt compassion.
