2600 LB “LeeBeth” pinged in today right in the mouth of the Mississippi River. We caught this shark off SC in Dec and she’s traveled more than 2600 miles. So cool following this big gal around, breaking records left and right.

Thanks to Atlantic White Shark Conservancy for the tags and interest!

Move over Picasso! Breton the great white shark was fitted with a satellite tracker and spent years drawing a picture … of itself 🦈👇🎨

Big Great White “LeeBeth”, just before we started the satellite tagging.
She’s pinging well on the Sharktivity app, she swam southwest and is currently a few miles off of St Simons, GA. today.

15ft White Shark “Grace” and her year long track. She traveled over 4,000 miles while holding onto her tag. After release, she remained off SC for a bit before going north of Nova Scotia, then going south, passing her SC tag placement and into the Gulf of Mexico. (Part 1)

Last great white shark trip of the season and we went 1 for 2. Such an incredible fish.
No enormous ones this winter, as I lost Jaws herself in January, but this is the first one in yrs where we raised one or tagged one every trip but one.
All satellite tagged and released.

Caught & satellite tagged a 10ft Great White right at sunset.
We got a late start cause wind was howling in the morning, and just before we were going to call it a day, this girl shows up. We named her Jessica after a Dr in Savannah that has an ongoing battle with breast cancer

It was a miracle we landed this one with it just barely hanging on. New hook I was trying out did ok, not great, a bit large but rusts awfully quick if left in. We popped out this hook & rehooked him so we could control him and apply satellite gear with Atlantic White Shark Conservancy tags.

Throw back to 4 years ago when we hooked 7 great whites in a day. We put 4 satellite tags out, 5 acoustic, went home early.
I’ve studied this day for years trying to figure out how we caught lightning in a bottle. We’ve landed 3 in a day multiple times, 7 was amazing

10’8 Great White Shark that we tagged last Feb had her pop-off tag release.
Her track was pretty interesting, as she came within a few hundred yards of a NC beach, but then ventured out 150 miles off VA and she b lined it to Canada where it looks like she prefers to be.
