The attitudes of the adults in a #school quickly become the attitudes of the students. Never forget that #attitude is contagious.

Kudos to some of MCES teacher leaders who provided professional learning today. We can’t wait to use some of these strategies with our students when they return next week! #BeBoldMCSS #MCESFamily

I'm comfortable giving a student who needed 4 attempts to master a skill the same grade as the #student who only needed 1 attempt. 'If' a student learns is more important to me than 'when.'

Excited to have my conference proposal with Traceybraye and @apmackenzie selected to share with other educators in Nashville at the #TIENetwork2019 conference! We also can’t wait to learn from other trauma informed experts.

Give kids a reason to WANT TO go to school and you have won 80% of the battle! THIS is where the majority of our efforts should lie. Studies show if a kid misses 15 or more days a year, they are likely (or will be) more than 2 years behind. #DominoEffect

We often want to solve problems in school with more information. But the game changer is usually not more information, it’s more connection. It’s not knowing more, it’s caring more. It’s not more rules/requirements, it’s stronger relationships. #JoyfulLeaders #FutureDriven
