𝐁𝐫𝐚𝐝 𝐉𝐨𝐡𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐧 So many things go unnoticed or shared. Imagine if a photographer visited a school for a day and captured the intentional moments teachers create. The world would see how important and loved teachers make their students feel. A shift would occur among society’s views, too.

As an admin, I loved visiting classrooms & watching teachers in action. When I left, I would leave a post it note on their desk telling them how lucky their students were to have them & share something I learned or enjoyed about the visit. I called them "Post-its of Praise"

I am glad some districts are working on teacher shortage by offering bonuses, increase starting salary etc for new teachers, but please don't forget the amazing veterans already on staff, or there won't be enough people to hire regardless of what is offered.

It's wild that at every PD I go to, presenters put out a box with pens, post-its, highlighters, etc for participants to use as they see fit. But there are still teachers stuck on "kids have to bring their own writing utensil."
