I find it odd that we got blanket coverage of the US election in the UK media (much of it welcome). But a change of leadership in the German CDU, the Dutch government resigning, more issues with the Italian government - practically no coverage whatsoever.

I want to say a huge thank you to the parents, carers and guardians of children. Millions of you have coped with the pressures of home schooling and childcare while also doing your day jobs. And by staying at home you are, quite literally, saving lives.

The thing you never imagine when you have babies is that one day those children will be interesting adults that you have so much in common with - and they want to go to the pub with you and they make you laugh and think about things in a new way. This is actually the best bit. ❤️
