Honoured to speak at the Trades Union Congress fringe this week about why the decriminalisation of sex work is a trade union issue. As trade unionists know, through organising workers and winning greater rights we can lessen exploitation. The same principle applies to sex work.

Pitiful statement. If Russia is able to it will abolish democracy in Ukraine, smash all independent labour movement organisations and impose its own cultural and educational policies on Ukrainians. The trade unions must force Labour to provide adequate support for Ukraine.

We are curious to know how Momentum's stance was decided. Noteworthy that they shared the clip of RMT leader Mick Lynch, but ignored the fact that in it he also said: "I believe Ukraine has a right to defend itself, and they should be assisted." Does Momentum agree with that?

Today we joined the Chilean Solidarity Network to commemorate the brutal coup against the democratically elected Allende govt in Chile, 1973. Our President Sam Morecroft spoke, promising that Sheffield TUC will always remember, commemorate and teach what happened 51 years ago.

Nathan H Your "imperialist forces" evidently don't include Russia. It's not a proxy war. And virtually every war has thousands of working-class men and women killing each other. That doesn't settle whether to take sides. Don't pretend to be a pacifist when you're not one.
