From our Ts & families to the ABM Industries custodial team & Providence Public Schools facilities crew, everyone plays a part in advancing sustainable practices and environmental education. Special S/O to our Ss who lead lunchroom sorting stations. They've reduced our landfill waste by 85%!!

Students from kindergarten to grade 5 at both Frank D. Spaziano Elementary School and William D'Abate Elementary School are deeply engaged in project-based learning initiatives led by their classroom teachers and featuring visits from Roger Williams Park Zoo, Providence Fire Department and PPSD’s Operations team.


Our students have been hard at work preparing for our Project Based Learning showcase later this month. Did you know September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM)? Today students and staff at William D'Abate Elementary School wore yellow to honor children affected by pediatric cancer and raise awareness. 🎗️💛


It was an honor to host First Lady Susan McKee for a read aloud this morning. She shared the book "Look Out for Litter" with our kindergarten classes.
