We were so proud to cut the ribbon to our newly renovated building today. Thank you Rhode Island Department of Education (RIDE), Angelica Infante, Providence Public Schools, Mayor Brett Smiley, members of the Providence City Council and the D'Abate family for celebrating alongside our students, families, community partners and staff. ✂️🎀

Did you know September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month (CCAM)? Today students and staff at William D'Abate Elementary School wore yellow to honor children affected by pediatric cancer and raise awareness. 🎗️💛
It was an honor to host First Lady Susan McKee for a read aloud this morning. She shared the book "Look Out for Litter" with our kindergarten classes. Today William D'Abate Elementary School 4th graders hosted an Animal Adaptation Writing Celebration, where students showcased their projects and models demonstrating how animals adapt to their environments. Way to go!
