Despite all of the outrage, it’s actually a coincidence that Trans Day of Visibility coincides with Easter this year. Having said that, it’s actually quite fitting since liberating the oppressed was a core aspect of Jesus’s mission.

We were knocking doors and a woman shared a personal story about the need for greater state support for mental health and addiction care. As we walked away, my 8 y/o was visibly moved and seemed to grasp in a new way the importance of what we’re doing.

A simple Google search would have informed this “journalist” that Transgender Day of Visibility is always on March 31, but instead she decided to suggest publicly that it was an intentional stunt to co-opt, which is a moving holiday.
