People who respond to statements of LGBTQ affirmation with some variation of “God doesn’t affirm sin,” are loudly announcing that they don’t actually understand the contours of the debate. I don’t know of a single progressive or affirming Christian who argues “God affirms sin.”

Had a great experience this morning touring the training facility for the Central Midwest Regional Council of Carpenters. They offer incredible opportunities to earn while you learn and follow a pathway to high-wage jobs with great benefits.

I normally try not to give this stuff oxygen, but here’s one of the prominent advocates of Christian nationalism, admitting out loud that CN would be so bad for women. they would have to strip women’s voting rights to keep it.

Despite all of the outrage, it’s actually a coincidence that Trans Day of Visibility coincides with Easter this year. Having said that, it’s actually quite fitting since liberating the oppressed was a core aspect of Jesus’s mission.

We were knocking doors and a woman shared a personal story about the need for greater state support for mental health and addiction care. As we walked away, my 8 y/o was visibly moved and seemed to grasp in a new way the importance of what we’re doing.

A simple Google search would have informed this “journalist” that Transgender Day of Visibility is always on March 31, but instead she decided to suggest publicly that it was an intentional stunt to co-opt, which is a moving holiday.
