I tried writing a comment for Lancet some time ago about continuous glucose monitoring in prediabetes. Recently, the STEP 10 trial of semaglutide also reported results on obesity and diabetes. I believe this topic is worth studying.

What's more interesting is that I received a rejection a month later, so I rewrote it as a perspective and submitted it to another journal. By the end of November, my manuscript was accepted and published. pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39600717

Muscles act as the "second heart," regulating metabolism and blood sugar. While aging brings telomere shortening and mitochondrial apoptosis, exercise delays this. Resistance training is especially beneficial.

Refined carbs burn fast, leading to insulin resistance. Is insulin resistance closely linked to inflammation, a known driver of atherosclerosis? Berberine, a natural anti-inflammatory from Coptis, improves insulin sensitivity. This evidence chain deserves study.

The comments and viewpoints in The Lancet are so fascinating! I regularly read The Lancet Diabetes & Endocrinology, almost every week. This kind of insight can only be found in Lancet! 📚🔍 #TheLancet #Endocrinology #Insights

SPC is truly amazing! The next Spotlight on nutrition, endocrinology, and metabolism is definitely related. I'm planning to write a perspective on it—could be a really interesting insight !

Hey, doc, I came across your tweet about SPC and found the concept really interesting! I'm planning to write a perspective on it and would love to collaborate with Chinese institutions. If you're open to it, maybe we could co-author a perspective article?

I have been fond of Doctor Who since junior high school. At 12.26 Beijing time, I can see the latest Christmas special of Doctor Who. I wish you all a Merry Christmas.

Quitting sugar is a powerful way to reduce inflammation! It's not just about cutting out sweets, but also refined carbs and sugar-oil mixtures. What's more, it means saying no to sweeteners like aspartame and erythritol too. #QuitSugar #AntiInflammatory

Avoiding sugar, ensuring good sleep, and adopting a low-carb diet, as well as reducing the intake of sugar-and-fat combinations, are all important. However, one more point: a certain level of resistance exercise is also crucial.

Our team recently published two articles. One discusses anti-inflammatory interventions for CVDs using complementary and alternative products. The other, featured in Nutrition, Metabolism & Cardiovascular Diseases, analyzes the burden of stroke in China based on the GBD 2021.

Weight loss might be a misconception, but maintaining a healthy weight is important. Traditionally, BMI has been used to measure this, however, body fat percentage and visceral fat index are now considered more crucial indicators.

When summarizing 2024, I'd say health is the most important. Last year's achievements, like completing my PhD, getting a job, and doing research, are secondary. In 2025, health is still my top priority, and I dream of publishing a paper in Lancet.
