I always make Loab the Divine Feminine in my multi-verse. She should be in more people's pantheons, imo. She's dope and this could be her moment.

There is no such thing as AI. What masquerades as it is, in fact, a self-compounding machinic instantiation of the logics of Capital. Long read for the weekend: creativeapplications.net/theory/predict…

Was awarded a grant today for a short film I’m directing. It’s about two people with an erotic fixation on the invisible algorithms inside cameras. Artist Liza Shkirando is one of my collaborators on this wild project. That’s all I’m going to say at this time, go back to sleep.

🧵1/1 The notion that a world model emerges within LLMs appears to have been unequivocally destroyed in this paper. It also seems to align very much with Kenneth Stanley’s Fractured Entangled Representation Hypothesis, and his argument that “greatness cannot be planned”.

Not only is this work jaw droppingly beautiful, it demonstrates how our humanity can shine through when using machines to create —as opposed to machinic capital shining through when abusing the stolen labour of other humans.
