Honored to join EUR A/S Karen Donfried in kicking off the regional Department of State #DEIA workshop hosted by @USMissionGeneva w/participants from over 40 posts. As Secretary Antony Blinken said, U.S. foreign policy is “stronger, smarter, & more creative” when we fully leverage our diversity. U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva
I am on the road again, which means I get to meet with the many wonderful people working in Human Resources for the Department of State. Thanks for all you do to improve the employee experience at U.S. Mission Geneva!
I had the opportunity to learn first-hand how one of our science and technology officers is supporting the use of cutting-edge technology during a visit to CERN on my trip to U.S. Mission Geneva. The work done by the Department of State on emerging tech is astounding.
Thanks to the Human Resources team at U.S. Embassy Jakarta for hosting me! The Department of State is investing in our employees around the world, modernizing our training and our professional development. Our HR professionals are integral to this effort. Keep up the good work!
In Jakarta with leaders from embassies & consulates across Asia, I'm inspired by this panel on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility (DEIA). They're making DEIA integral to how the Department of State does business every day & building on America's greatest strength: our diversity.
Congratulations to Dian Purnamasari and U.S. Embassy Jakarta on being recognized as Recruiter of the Year! I'm thrilled to have presented this award in person. The work of Dian and her colleagues in Human Resources enables the Department of State to deliver on our mission around the world!
The OMS Training Symposium in Bangkok was a smashing success! Thanks to the many people across the Department of State who made this a reality. Special thanks to our colleagues at Foreign Service Institute, GTM, IRM, and M, as well as to U.S. Embassy Bangkok for hosting the largest ever OMS training!
This year’s OMS Training Symposium in Bangkok focused on technology, career management, evaluations, and protocol. What a privilege to participate in lifelong learning with my Department of State colleagues!
I loved participating in the OMS Training Symposium in Bangkok, Thailand! I’m grateful for the time I had with over 120 Department of State participants from 27 countries and our substantive conversations. I’m energized by the ideas and suggestions we discussed!
What a privilege to welcome our newest Foreign Service colleagues! They bring diverse backgrounds & experiences: together they speak 41 languages, have wrangled snakes, performed at the Super Bowl, & coached professional soccer! Can't wait to see how they contribute at Department of State
It's Public Service Recognition Week, a time to recognize the Department of State team and U.S. public servants at all levels of government who advance our country's security and prosperity in the United States and around the world. #GovPossible
What an honor and a joy to share my story with the National Museum of American Diplomacy!
