Ain’t Misbehavin’ at Southwark Playhouse is 90 minutes or so of sheer delight, beautifully staged and performed by a talented cast. Do go and see it.

Really enjoyed tonight’s The Manhattan Transfer gig at Alexandra Palace. The restored Alexandra Palace Theatre is great too.

Really enjoyed Clare Teal and Jason Rebello in cabaret at PizzaExpress Live at The Pheasantry, Chelsea.

#yvsalesman at Young Vic is sensational. Full marks too to Young Vic box office and front of house staff. They are all unfailingly welcoming, courteous and polite. Beg, steal@or borrow a ticket.

The concert of Bach motets at Wigmore Hall by Vox Luminis was simply stunning. Impeccable diction, clarity, precision and colour were the features of a wonderful performance. The encore, a funeral aria by #JohannSchelle that apparently inspired Bach, was ravishing. A fab evening

Wow! Absolutely stunning PizzaExpress Live cabaret performance by Ann Hampton Callaway at The Pheasantry earlier. Capacity audience, me included, loved it. Highlights included fab renditions of ‘Over the Rainbow’, ‘I Gaze in His Eyes’ and (encore) ‘Old Friend’ (Cryer/Ford). Wonderful!

Really enjoyed #Showtune at The Union Theatre tonight. A delightful, fun-filled evening.

Saw a preview earlier at The Old Vic of ‘A Very Expensive Poison’ by @lucyprebblish. It’s wonderful. I really recommend it.

Saw Shida the Musical at @thevaultsuk tonight. Written and performed by Jeannette Bayardelle, who is wonderful, it’s a memorable and moving 75 minutes or so of musical theatre. Do go and see it.

Saw #OneManTwoGuvnors at Torch Theatre 🎭🎬☕️ last night. It’s hilarious. @Christian2178 is brilliant, as are the rest of the cast. Go and see it. You will leave the theatre happier than when you went in!

Saw a preview of #TheBoyFriend at Menier Chocolate Factory tonight. It’s wonderful: pure escapism. Go and see it. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

Absolutely loved Austentatious at London’s Fortune Theatre tonight. A real tonic performed by a very talented cast. Go and see it!

Full marks to Barbican Centre for the return of live music and for staging such a wonderful concert last night. Bryn T Jones and Britten Sinfonia were superb.

Wonderful Michael Feinstein concert at Cadogan Hall y’day. Every song a winner. As he said, #theGreatAmericanSongbook is constantly evolving. His rendition of ‘The Time Has Come’ by Marshall Barer was particularly stunning. Lovely tribute too to Leslie Bricusse. Fab evening!

Stunning recital at Barbican Centre by Joyce DiDonato and Craig Terry. Audience spellbound throughout. What a voice Ms DiDonato has, and what stage presence. A highlight of London’s cultural year (the only other thing to come near it is Anything Goes Musical, also at Barbican Centre!).

Absolutely stunning Stile Antico concert earlier at Mozartfest & Bachfest. The words ‘exquisite’ and ‘sublime’ come to mind.

Wonderful recital at Wigmore Hall earlier by #PhilippeJaroussky (philippe jaroussky official) and #ThibautGarcia. Capacity audience loved it. A memorable evening.
