Astonishing football coverage on TNT tonight when 18 European Champions League matches will be televised simultaneously. My anticipated joy is only slightly watered down by the prospect of loads of amateurish women being handed a mic to squeal about it all for my benefit.

Did you see any England women's cricket matches in Australia? Our women reminded me of a bunch of sporty mums joining in a schoolboys' team exhibition match during a parents' open evening. They were about as fit as me (aged 74), couldn't run and couldn't catch a cold. Hilarious.

Such a shame that Wales have seen fit to sack their rugby coach, Warren Gatland. I was enjoying the way their results were going.

Since when has calling a police officer “ f++king stupid and white” not been an offence? Clearly when it’s said by Sam Kerr, the Chelsea footballer who is of colour. Had a white footballer said of a young PC you are “ f++king stupid and black” I can’t believe there wouldn’t

Thick-as-pig-shit travellers get captured in Iran. You were told not to go to this hellhole, but now you expect to be bailed out. And yet the sympathy vote, led by the BBC, will be huge.

What level of vile subhuman scum do you have to be to join a crowd cheering the murder of 4 Israeli hostages, including a mother and her two children? I don't care what Labour, or these left-wing activist judges say, we must NOT allow this culture into Britain.

Another shocking gap week during the Six Nations rugby tournament. It means all momentum is lost for players, spectators and media coverage. Don't tell me the modern professional player needs a fortnight off in mid season, especially now silly numbers of subs are allowed.

Perhaps the scariest aspect of Trump's hideous bullying of Zelensky yesterday is that, were there to be a fresh general election tomorrow, the maniac would win even more easily. Most Americans love him. Fact.

I see the anti-US products signs are going up all over Canada. Isn't it strange/sad that it has taken a lunatic to persuade Canadians to buy Canadian products?

How stupid is it that Ireland will be playing France at 2.15pm tomorrow, just when rugby players all over the country will be in action at their home grounds? Potentially the best game of the Six Nations played by the best two teams, it's a scheduling disaster.

Liverpool out of the Champions League, then, and other supporters up and down the country predictably, and shamefully, gloating. Why would anyone English, like me (a Leeds supporter), want a fellow English team to lose to a foreign team? I simply cannot take that into my head.

Dear TNT. Get those bloody women off my telly. Ruining Bayern v Inter with stupid comments in screechy voices. The station's rugby coverage is second to none, it being all men talking about man's sport. Why subject us to this football crap?

My thanks to the UK Supreme Court, who have today ruled that a woman is actually... (wait for it) yes, a woman. We can presumably assume men are thereby officially... men. Bad news for all those blokes winning women's sports events.

Marvellous to see Bury today clinch promotion from the NINTH tier of non-league football. The attendance at Gigg Lane was a truly remarkable 8,719. Surely, that will never be beaten.

The departure of Pope Francis inevitably reminds me of a newscaster's slip about a Papal visit. The leader should have been referred to as His Holiness The Pope, but instead was called His Popiness The Hole.

Always the Muslims. Seven Iranians have been arrested by counter-terror police over the weekend as they investigated two separate plots in the UK. Never the Christians involved. Never the Jews. Never the Hindus. What’s with these people?

Did you know... 21 per cent of the players named in the lastest British and Irish Lions rugby squad were not born in either Britain of Ireland. Just sayin'
