Police are looking for a suspect, Nyheem Hill, last seen in the area of Alderman Road, who fled following an off-Grounds traffic stop near Ivy Road and has a known criminal history and gang affiliation. The suspect has no known affiliation with the UVA. Shelter in Place.

** Information Release ** On Thursday, September 4, 2025, the Albemarle County Police Department received a report of a hit-and-run involving a child. The incident occurred between 7:10 and 7:25 am at the intersection of Porters Road and King Solomons Lane in Esmont.

Anyone who was traveling in this area is encouraged to check their dash cam footage. ACPD’s Traffic Unit is continuing to investigate this incident. Anyone with information or who may have captured footage is asked to contact Officer Sprouse at 434-296-5807.
