Happy Monday, pretty stoked for Thanksgiving, my personal fave. Lots of Silicon Valley hijinks over the weekend, with Sam Altman getting hired by $MSFT after getting canned by #OpenAI, to be replaced w/Emmett Shear, former Twitch CEO. KCBS 106.9 FM/740 AM

People’s Park in Berkeley has been evacuated and construction of a massive barricade of shipping containers is underway. The University says there were a handful of arrests overnight. Listen to KCBS 106.9 FM/740 AM for the latest. audacy.com/stations/kcbsr…

The Oakland Ballers were set to announce they’d be playing a special game at the Oakland Coliseum, the team says that is now off. They say the A’s are blocking the game by enforcing a clause preventing other professional baseball teams from playing in the facility.

Breaking: FBI agents are searching the home of #Oakland Mayor Sheng Thao 市长 盛桃市长 盛桃 (Parody), armed with a search warrant, per KCBS 106.9 FM/740 AM’s Phil Matier, in addition to 3 other locations. No comment yet from the mayor.

The Oakland A’s were killed by greed. Do not allow the people responsible for this to spin it any other way. John Fisher did not have to move this team. Major League Baseball and its owners did not need to be complicit in it. This was a choice. A wrong one. History will sneer.

News: After 40 years on the radio in San Francisco, the last 35 on KCBS 106.9 FM/740 AM, I'm retiring to write books, make music & raise my kids. My last show hosting #StateOfCA will be next Wednesday, April 30, 3:30pm. Thanks for a most extraordinary, exhilarating & unexpected career!
