It’s the charming vs the charmless ticket. It’s compassion and decency vs cruelty and violence. It’s the pro-democracy American ticket vs the pro-autocracy, pro-Putin ticket.

This is quite a list of terrific policies. But it is the *politics" that give me hope for the Harris-Walz ticket. Walz has a way of making all these "progressive" policies seem like simple common sense for America.

Send Tim Walz to a swing state high school football game every Friday night, college football game every Saturday, and NFL game every Sunday until November.

Hard agree.

It’s being discussed more and more, but I truly think one of the most powerful and still underrated forces in the election is going to be the joy and relief millions feel watching Coach Walz and imagining that their dads and uncles and neighbors could wake up from their hatred.

She responded one way yesterday. It was criticized. Others defended her. She and her team clearly absorbed criticism, sifted through what they wanted to listen to and address, adjusted their approach, and did it differently today. That shouldn’t be rare in politics, but it is.
